About ODLAA 2013 Distance Education Summit
ODLAA is a professional association of educators that has been at the forefront of distance education in the Asia-Pacific region since the early 1970s. Our 2013 Distance Education Summit will be the nineteenth in a series of biennial forums held by ODLAA, which commenced in 1972.
Summit 2013 is directed at colleagues involved in research, teaching, corporate and community oriented blended and distance education. Our focus on the diversity of distance learners also acknowledges that distance education has evolved to the point where it is currently practiced in, and influences, the broadest range of educational contexts. In an age of technological mediation and lifelong learning, the practice of education has moved beyond traditional definitions and distinctions. We therefore welcome contribution and participation from anyone engaged with education across space and time.
ODLAA welcomes submissions that contribute to at least one of the following Summit 2013 themes:
- Social, mobile, emergent, informal learning
- Analytics
- Equity and access
- Open educational resources
- Curriculum and teaching
- Teacher roles in changing environments
- Student-driven learning / student-developed content
- Managing and leading open and distance education.
We look forward to seeing you in February 2013!
